Yoga Nidra (Sanskrit: योग निद्रा) is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. Yoga nidra is a state in which the body is completly relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions.
Before the practice begins find a quiet place and make sure you will not be disturbed. Ideally lie on the floor on a mat or a blanket and place a pillow underneath head and cover over the body which helps to stay warm as body temperature drops.
